VIDEO: Patna university student beaten to death by 8-10 masked men on college campus

Patna: Patna University has postponed all its scheduled examinations till further order after the lynching of a student in University campus.
 
Vice-Chancellor of Patna University K C Sinha said on Tuesday that the University administration had decided to postpone all its scheduled examinations till further order after a student was killed by some unidentified criminals on Monday.

The decision had been taken to avoid any clash among students over the incident, he added.

Sinha said an FIR had been lodged in this connection and the case was being investigated.
The University administration was shocked over the incident and had demanded stringent punishment of the culprits, he added.

A student Harsh Raj was mercilessly beaten with hockey sticks and iron rods by eight to ten masked criminals. He had sustained serious injuries and succumbed during treatment in Hospital.

A law student in #Bihar's #Patna died after he was brutally beaten up by over a dozen masked assailants outside his examination center on Monday evening, police said.

Harsh was attacked by criminals when he came out from the Hall after taking examination. Desire of Harsh to contest University Students' Union election is stated to be the reason behind his killing but exact cause could be ascertained only after police investigation.

Meanwhile, a student was arrested in this connection and he was being interrogated.

Agitated over the killing, students of Patna University took out protest march on Ashok Rajpath.
