Youth succumbs to COVID-19 in Bihar, Mumbai reports 2nd death; national toll rises to 6

Patna: Coronavirus claimed its first death in Bihar as 38 year old Saif Ali passed away here in the city.

Head of Bihar’s Health department Sanjay Kumar confirmed that coronavirus infected Ali passed away at the city’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), he was being treated at the hospital’s isolation ward, where he died on Saturday.

Ali was employed at Qatar and was visiting Bihar, he is the sixth Indian to have died due to this highly contagious disease.

Earlier, Maharashtra reported death of a 63-year-old man from Mumbai due to Covid-19. This is the second Covid-19 death in Maharashtra. (Inputs from UNI)
