10 Delhi Metro stations to go completely cashless in transactions

New Delhi: As part of the Union Government's vision to transform the country into a cashless economy, ten Metro stations of the Delhi Metro Network will go completely cashless in their transactions from January 1, 2017. It was announced by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Chief Mangu Singh at a function on the eve of the 14th anniversary of the Metro operations.
 

He said this move by the Delhi Metro will minimise cash handing difficulties at the stations. The ten Metro stations which will go completely cashless are Rohini East, Rohini West, MG Road, Mayur Vihar Phase-1, Nirman Vihar, Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri West, Noida Sector 15, Nehru Place and Kailash Colony.

The cashless transactions for token/smart card purchase/top up at these stations can be done through Paytm by using Paytm QR-code, which will be displayed at token counters/ customer care centre of these stations. (UNI)
