New Delhi: An FIR has been registered against a 60-year-old former IB officer, for allegedly raping a 17-year-old minor girl in the pretext of providing her a job, police said on Wednesday.
According to police, the accused is a friend of victim's father. The accused took the victim to a hotel and allegedly raped her.
Based on victim's statement, a case under relevant sections and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act has been registered against the accused at Karol Bagh Police Station, said a senior official.
The accused has been absconding. Investigation is underway and several teams of police are carrying out a manhunt to arrest him. (UNI)
