Barwani: A 17-year-old boy was today arrested on the charge of putting up an anti-national and pro-Pakistan post on social networking site Facebook at Balwari village in Madhya Pradesh’s Barwani district. “On the basis of a complaint by Khutwari Government School assistant teacher Shravan Rathor, the class VIII student – who works at a welding shop – was arrested under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act," said Sendhwa Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Sunil Jolly.

The accused had made the pro-Pakistan post on the Facebook wall of Kanhaiya Sharma yesterday. It also contained anti-India sentiments. Soon the post attracted objections from several people associated in the group. Shortly, hundreds of people gathered at Varla Police Station and demanded action against the culprit for hurting sentiments. Later, police verified the post and registered a case last night. (UNI)
