In a shocking incident, a two-month-old baby girl was found dead inside a microwave oven in the south Delhi.
Benita Mary Jaiker, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), said, “We received a call that an infant was missing. Staff from Malviya Nagar police station rushed to the spot. Neighbours then informed us that they found the girl in an old oven. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained. A case of murder has been registered against unknown persons.”
A senior police official said the initial investigation suggests that the infant's mother, who is the main suspect in the case, was upset over the birth of a girl child.
