2 Pet dogs rescue man from bear attack in Mizoram-Tripura border village

Aizawl: A 28 year old man in Tumpanglui village nestled along the Mizoram-Tripura border, was saved by his two pet dogs from a wild bear.
 
Reports said Lallawma, tending to his jungle garden, was suddenly attacked by the ferocious animal at noon on Wednesday. He sustained severe injuries to his head, thighs, right ear and scalp and cried for help.
 
Lallawma's two loyal companions — his faithful dogs responding to their master's distress calls, sprang into action, confronted the bear and eventually drove it away from the scene.
 
The timely intervention of his dogs saved Lallawma from further harm. Lallawma's father-in-law rushed him to Kawrthah Community Health Centre .
 
Officials from the Environment, Forests, and Climate change department provided an immediate relief assistance of Rs. 2,000, with a commitment to covering all expenses related to his treatment.
