4 women who opted for Flesh trade after losing jobs during the lockdown rescued

Palghar:The MBVV police rescued four women who turned towards flesh trade following their loosing jobs during the lock down and in pandemic the police said on Monday.(symbolic pic)
The DCP Zone II Sanjaykumar Patil told this correspondent that the police also arrested two persons including a transgender who forced these women into the flesh trade the police said.
 
An offence under sections 370(1), 370(3) rw 34 of the IPC and also sections 4 and 5 of PITA has been registered with the Valiv police station of Vasai in Palghar district.
 
The police officer said that cash of Rs. 2,53,440 was also seized from the arrested.The official said that based on a tip off and complaint that flesh trade was in progress in a room of a chawl in Khan compound of Pelhar. The raid was conducted after sending a decoy to the location on July 23.

The police during the raid found that the accused persons had parked four women in the age group of 25-30 in the room and provided them to get laid with the customers.The accused took advantage of the women loosing their jobs during the lockdown and pushed them into flesh trade.
 
The police gave the names of the arrested as Vasundara Sanjay Tiwari (the transgender) and Anjali Rajkumar Yadav, of UP.
 
The rescued women have been lodged at the women reformation home at Nagzari, at Boisar. The accused who were produced before a magistrate have been remanded into police custody till July 28.2021.(UNI)
