40-yr-old Covid recovered man jumps to death in front of Express train in Thane

Thane: A 40-year-old engineer who had just recovered from Covid recently, allegedly committed suicide by leaping in front of an Express train near Dombivili railway station.

The victim, resident of Azde village in Dombivili town of the district, committed suicide by jumping in front of the Konark Express on Monday, the Railway police at Dombivili said on Wednesday.

His body was sent to the Rukminibai civic hospital for post-mortem.

The reason behind suicide has yet to be ascertained.

A case of accidental death has been registered in this regard.

The deceased, whose identity was not disclosed, worked as an engineer with a private firm, sources added. (UNI)
