96 students from Andhra Engineering College hostel test corona positive

Visakhapatnam:
In the last 48 hours, at least 96 students from Andhra University Engineering College (AUEC) hostel tested positive for Covid-19.
According to Andhra Medical college Principal and special officer of Covid-19, Dr P V Sudhakar, out of 850 tests conducted, 96 reported positive.
He said there were 1350 students including 550 girls students in the AUEC campus.
Tests were being conducting to all the students, he said out of eight hostels, three kept for isolation and five for quarantine.
He said medical camp conducted in the campus and medical kits and food were being supplied to the rooms.
District Collector V Vijay Chand, District Health officials, AU vice chancellor and other officials visited the campus.
