Dhanbad: In an unfortunate incident a girl who was due to get married on Friday died following a snake bite on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Poonam Kumari (23) a resident of Kulbera village under the Barwadda Police Station area of this district.
Police said that the girl was due to get married on July 16. The family had done all the preparations for the marriage and on Wednesday the ritual of Haldi was performed. After the ritual, the girl had gone to her room to sleep at night where she was bitten by a snake.
The girl immediately raised an alarm and she was taken to SNMCH for treatment however she could not survive for long and died. (UNI)
