A spine-chilling case of honour killing reported in UP

Mainpuri: In an apparent incident of honor killing in Uttar Pradesh, bodies of a young couple were found in Karhal area of the district here. Police sources here today said the bodies, which had plenty of stab marks were found inside a dairy in Chandarpur village. The deceased were identified as Ramsharan (21) and Sheela (19). Sources said preliminary investigation suggests that last night's incident related to honor killing.

The Investigation was underway. In another incident in the same district, a woman was killed when two rival groups opened fire on each other over a land dispute under Kotwali police station area last night. Police said Ayub and Wasim had a dispute over a piece of land and last night both of them clashed and opened fire on each other. In the firing, Ayub's wife Anisha (45) was killed. Wasim who had fired was immediately arrested by the police. (UNI)
