NewDelhi: Sharpening his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of Assembly elections in five states, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today said his demonetisation move has caused tremendous pain to the people all over the country and earned him world ridicule for his action.
‘’Never has any Prime Minister taken such an incompetent and badly thought out decision,’’ Mr Gandhi said in his opening remarks at the day-long ‘Jan Vedana Sammelan’ called by his party to highlight the 'pain' caused to the common man by the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. It was a decision for which the RBI, ‘’which we respect so much’’ was also being ridiculed, he said. (UNI)
