Ajmer dargah chief removed after batting for nationwide “beef ban”

Ajmer: Freedom of speech proved costly for Ajmer Dargah chief  Jainual Abedin after he supported the nationwide Beef Ban and appeal to abolish Triple Talaq. He was subsequently removed from the post of chief.
 

Earlier, Abedin stated that government steps are in right direction to ban beef and he also appealed the mulims to give up beef. The former chief also declared that he and his family will never touch any dish made  of Beef. Beside’s he also termed Triple Talaq a non quranic concept imposed on muslims.

Miffed by the Abedin’s statements, Syed Allaudin Alimi went up in arms against him. Later he claimed that Fatwas from Maulana’s from across different part of the country will be sought. Alimi stated that Abedin is not eligible to hold the post as he is not a willful Muslim. (WD)
