Srinagar: All the educational institutions will remain closed in the Kashmir valley till April 9, when polling in Srinagar Parliamentary constituency is to be held. However, officials said today that educational institutions in the valley were closed in view of inclement weather till April 9.
Polling in Srinagar constituency will be held on April 9 and Anantnag on April 12.

Though the government this time has decided not to deploy teachers and other education department officials for election duty, a number of educational institutions in bypoll-bound Srinagar and Anantnag constituencies have been occupied by the security forces. About half a dozen colleges and other institutions have been occupied by the security forces, brought from outside the state for poll duty. (UNI)
