Chandigarh: All Aam Admi Party (AAP) MLAs were suspended from Punjab Assembly today during the ongoing Budget session, while Shiromani Akali Dal MLAs staged walkout in support of them. The AAP MLAs were protesting against bar on entry of their MLA Sukhpal Khaira and alliance partner Simarjit Bains into the Vidhan Sabha complex. They staged a dharna outside the House, alleging that Speaker Rana KP and the Congress government were stopping them from entering the House after they had raised the issue of sand mafia and land mafia yesterday.
The AAP MLAs was also stopped by police from entering the House. The AAP members raised anti-government slogans and said that police cannot stop them with an unsigned order. Bains was suspended on June 15, while Khaira received the suspension order on June 16. (UNI)
