Andhra Pradesh: 14 killed in road accident in Kurnool, PM announces ex-gratia of Rs 2 Lakh

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in a road accident in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister Office said “An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund would be given to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the unfortunate road accident in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Rs 50,000 would be given to those seriously injured.”

The accident occurred on Sunday when a truck and mini van collided, claiming 14 lives and injuries to four other near Madapuram in Veldurthi Mandal of Kurnool. (UNI)
