Kakinada: A housewife was robbed of her gold and silver ornaments in broad day light while she was viewing TV alone at her house in Indrapalem area here on Monday, police said.
Three masked men gained entry into the house through main door and forced her to open the iron shelf at the point of knife.
They robbed 15 sovereigns of Gold ornaments and silver articles and walked out calmly with the booty threatening her to kill if raise alarm.
Her husband Vedurupalli Srinivasarao has lodged a complaint to the Kakinada rural police.
Crime wing DSP Rambabu along with Rural circle Inspector Srinivas visited the scene of offence and made preliminary enquiries with the neighbours. A case was registered and police dogs squad was pressed into service to track the movements of the miscreants police added. (UNI)
