Andhra Pradesh: Man attacks girl with hammer for refusing his marriage proposal, injures her sister & mother; attempts suicide

Kakinada: A mentally unstable person created havoc by intruding into a house by jumping the compound wall and attacking a girl student of CA for refusing to marry him and also injured her elder sister hitting them with a hammer.
 
Later he made an unsucsessful attempt to commit suicide. Later the neighbors’ admitted all the three women and the culprit in a government hospital where they are recovering .The gory incident took place in Kadiyapu Lanka village in Kadiyam mandal of East Godavari district on Friday night, police said.
 
The accused Dasari Venkatesh was harassing Seshma Naga Sai, a student of CA, in the name of love but she was reluctant and informed about this to her parents. Venkatesh phoned her father Srinivasarao three days ago threatening to kill his daughter if he did get her married to him. Last night he jumped the compound wall daringly and attacked Seshma Nagasai with a hammer and inflicted head injury.
 
He also attacked her elder sister and mother who came to her rescue and caused severe injuries. Later he also made a vain bid to commit suicide by using the same hammer. Basing on the complaint lodged by girl’s father Srinivasarao, Kadiyam police sub inspector Ameena Begam registered a case and is conducting enquiries, the police added. (UNI)
