Pune: Anti-corruption campaigner Anna Hazare once again announced to launch an agitation in New Delhi by the end of January next year. Hazare, 80, made the announcement Sunday at the conclusion of a two-day meeting of his supporters at his native place Ralegan Siddhi in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. He made this announcement the third time in less than a week. Demanding the implementation of the Lokpal Act and reforms in election process will be his main agenda of agitation.
Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the anti-corruption crusader said Mr Modi had not appointed Lokpal despite completing his three years in power. He also put the term and condition before his volunteers and supporters that they would not join politics and said them to provide an affidavit before starting his agitation at Delhi. He also alleged, "Mr Modi has not responded to my any letters which I had sent him in the past and now I have decided to start my agitation at Delhi by end of January 2018." (UNI)
