Mumbai: Mumbai police on Wednesday transferred encounter specialist police officer Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze from the crime branch to a side branch.
He was transferred after the opposition BJP demanded to arrest him in Mansukh Hiren suicide case.
Hiren was the owner of the vehicle which was found laden with the explosive outside the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.
Earlier, in the legislative council, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had said that Vaze will be transferred from the Mumbai crime branch for a fair probe in the case. (UNI)
