Army constable's 4-yr-old daughter offers fire to funeral pyre

Betul:The last rites of an Army Lance Naik, who was posted with the Bathinda Army Unit in Punjab, were performed in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district by his 4-year-old daughter. Multai-resident Lance Naik Rupesh Khavse had died on Thursday following pain in his throat. His mortal remains arrived here yesterday.
 

Jabalpur Regiment Centre personnel offered salute to the deceased Lance Naik. His four-year-old daughter lit the funeral pyre. Bathinda Unit Constable Manoj Shukla said that Lance Naik Khavse (30) had gone to deliver post to the Ganganagar Army Camp where he complained about pain in throat. He was admitted to the Ganganagar Army Hospital where he was declared dead. He is survived by his wife Harsha and two daughters Lisa (4) and Dolly (2). (UNI)
