Militants kidnapped Lieutenant and fired countless bullets on him in Kashmir

Srinagar: An Army officer was abducted and killed by militants in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today. The militants kidnapped Army Lieutenant Umar Fayaz Parray from a village in Kulgam where he had gone to attend some family function last night.
 


However, panic gripped in Harmain chowk in Shopian when a bullet-riddled body was found by some locals. Immediately after getting the information, police party reached there and the body was taken away for identification. The deceased was identified as Umar Fayaz, who had recently joined Army, and was on leave. Police has registered a case and initiated investigation, the sources said, adding that no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the killing. (UNI)
