Artists are not terrorists: Mallika Sarabhai

Thrissur, Oct 16 (UNI) Noted dancer and social activist Mallika Sarabhai has denounced the decision of Mumbai cinema owners' body, not to screen movies starring Pakistani artistes, saying "you can't compare an artiste with a terrorist.
 
“The fight is between India and Pakistan on terrorism and both governments should make all efforts to eliminate terrorists.
 
Artists are not terrorists and no result can be achieved by imposing restrictions or banning their works” Her remarks come at a time, when tension between India and Pakistan rocked
Bollywood as Hindi movie 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, is due for release later this month.

Daughter of illustrious parents, space scientist Dr Vikram Sarabhai and legendary dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai, Padma Bhushan Mallika Sarabhai was here as chief guest and to perform before an audience, connected with Palliative care.

Talking to UNI, Mallika said she uses dance as a tool for social change and continues to fight against issues like social injustice against women.
