Indore: Once a person visits Indore, he will fall in love with the city. This time the love for the city has crossed the border as its affinity and aura is being hailed by a Pakistani named Azhar Ahmed, who was here to participate in the Regional Asian hopes camp of table tennis organized at Abhay Prashal. The camp was aimed to render professional training of the game to 24 players from 9 countries.
In an interview with Webdunia Azhar stated that despite his first visit, Indore is a‘ home’ away from home for him. Slight drizzle has made climate very pleasant ever since he had visited the city. When quizzed about Abhay Prashal he said that he went many countries to coach, but never saw such a technological sound and latest facilities for the players. He was also spellbound by the hospitality of the city.
Azhar is a coach who runs a table tennis academy in Swat valley of Pakistan, where 17 players are being trained to make a mark on an international level. Azhar has also played Football in his past and had a keen interest in Hockey and cricket as well.
Die-hard fan of Kohli and Afridi, Azhar accepted that the popularity of cricket has sidelined other sports in both the countries. However the league culture has started in Badminton and Football, but it is yet to start in Pakistan. When quizzed about the most promising table tennis player of the camp, he said Varun Ganesh and Payas Jain, of India has impressed him a lot.
