Bangladeshi human trafficker hiding in India for 20 yrs apprehended

New Delhi: The BSF on Thursday said that its troopers has apprehended a Bangladeshi human trafficker who was hiding in India since 20 years on the fake identity.

Hassan Ghazi, a resident of Molapara village under Bharkholi police station in Satkhira district in Bangladesh, wanted by the police for a long time, was residing in Itinda village in Basirhat district in North 24 Parganas in West Bengal.

According to the BSF officials, Ghaza was apprehended near Border Out Post Ghojadanga on June7 when on a specific input by the intelligence unit of the force, when he was intercepted. Two mobile phones, Indian SIM cards (Airtel), five Bangladeshi SIM cards and many fake Aadhar cards were recovered from him.

He was immediately arrested the smuggler and brought o the BoP Ghojadanga for further interrogation.

In a sustained interrogation, Ghaza revealed that he was a Bangladeshi national and entered India through illegal means and has been staying in India illegally since 20 years.

He was married to an Indian national namely Khukhumoni Bibi and has procured fabricated Government documents by means of forgery.

He was possessing two fake ID Aadhar card of unknown female using as a means to facilitate female Bangladeshi nationals to cross the border illegally. He also revealed name of syndicate and many other smugglers who are involved in human trafficking with him, the BSF officials said. (UNI)
