BJP youth leader hacked to death in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru: BJP youth leader Praveen Nettaru on Tuesday night was hacked to death with lethal weapons at Ballare in Dakshina Kannada district by unidentified assailants.

The assailants attacked Praveen when he was shutting his poultry shop, police said.

Two men came in a bike and attacked Praveen with weapons and fled. The victim died on the way to hospital after receiving grievous injuries.

Bellare police have registered a case in this regard and initiated an investigation. Following the incident, the police have made tight security arrangements there.

Praveen was active in politics.

The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. (UNI)
