BSF jawan martyred in Pak firing in Jammu, 2 women among 4 injured

Jammu: Another BSFJawan martyred while four including two women got injured in cross border firing on the international border in R S Pura sector here. "Pakistan resorted to heavy unprovoked shelling throughout the night at all sectors of Jammu on the international border," Simrandeep Singh, DC Jammu here this morning said.
 

Meanwhile, BSF spokesman said that one BSF Jawan marytred and another injured in cross border firing in Sangral at R S Pura sector. "Head Constable Sushil Kumar of 127 Battalion, resident of Pihowa, Kurukshetra, Haryana was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed," he added. Injured BSF personnel were identified as R D Puri of Sivan, Bihar. He has been admitted to the GMC Jammu. "Heavy mortor and automatic firing from Pargwal to Kahnachack, Gajansoo area is on," he said, adding that almost all posts north of Suchetgarh to Chenab are being targeted. Own troops giving a befitting reply to the enemy, he added.

The DC further said that two old aged ladies have got injured in the firing and they have been sent to GMC Jammu. "Shelling still continuing in many sectors," he added. Woman identified as Krishana Devi of Treva got injured by mortar shell landed inside her house while Parkasho Devi of Fangu Ram suffered splinter injury at Gajanso with fracture. A civilian namely Girdhari Lal, 65 of Sai R S Pura got injured due to bullet splinter at Devigarh R S Pura. A BSF Jawan Gurnam Singh of Arnia, Jammu who got injured in firing yesterday succumbed at a hospital here. (UNI)
