Allahabad:Expressing its ire on the tardy police investigation into the Bulandshahr gang rape case of a mother and her minor daughter, the Allahabad High Court today ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter.
The court was not at all satisfied with the probe ordered by Uttar Pradesh and held that if the state government had taken some strict steps on the highway crimes, such horrifying incident would not have been occurred.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice D B Bhosale and Justice Yashwant Verma, which had taken suo motu cognizance of the gang rape , ordering the CBI probe has sought case diary of the incident besides the statement recorded of the victims by the police.
