Kolkata: Three prominent leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress and a former mayor of Kolkata who remained under house arrest for nearly a week were granted by a five-judge bench of Calcutta High Court on Friday.
The high court on Friday last ordered the house arrest of the four political leaders, Firhad Hakim and Subrata Mukherjee and Madan Mitra and Sovan Chatterjee in connection with the Narada sting case.
Earlier, a lower court granted bail to the four leaders but the bail was stayed by a two-judge of the high court.
The high court held that they would have to give a personal bond Rs two lakh each for the bail, lawyers appeared for the defendants said. (UNI)
