Aurangabad: A case has registered against three, including a woman, under the Protection of Children from Sexual offences (POCSO) for molesting and defaming a girl on social media.Police said the victim (17) lives with her parents at Cidco area here. The case was filed against Kailas Vishnu Murkute, his wife and Sooraj Kusalkar (brother in law), (residents of Kej in Beed district) on Sunday. Police said that the Kailas had allegedly proposed the victim for marriage, which her parents turned down. He, then married another girl.
In a bid to teach the victim a lesson, Kailas posted objectionable posts on social media and also sent obscene messages.His wife and brother-in-law too helped him in perpetrating the crime. Fed up with this, the victim's parents lodged a complaint against the trio, police added.(UNI)
