Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayna on Sunday claimed that the Christian community in the state has donated over Rs 1 crore for the construction of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ashwath Narayan said that it is wrong to say that the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are against people belonging to minority communities. Prime Minister Modi has said ‘sab ka saath, sab ka vikas and sub ka vishwas’ was the BJPs mantra.
Talking on behalf of the Christian community, Ronald Colaco, an NRI business tycoon, said, “this is not the first time that our community has given donations, we have always been supportive in matters of the country.” (UNI)
