Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that a survey would be conducted of all dwellings to ascertain the flood damage with a view to provide relief amounts, besides rehabilitation material. The politician visited affected areas in Rewa, where he reached after meeting the affected people of Maihar.
“In case of death due to flood, compensation of Rs 4 lakh will be provided to the family. Moreover, Rs 95,000 shall be disbursed for a damaged house and 50 kg wheat given. In case of loss of a bovine, the figure shall be Rs 30,000, Rs 10,000 in the event of loss of a calf, Rs 3,000 in case of hog loss and Rs 60 per chicken. Immediate relief of Rs 6,000 will be doled out if a shanty or shop is damaged," an official statement quoted Mr Chouhan as saying. (UNI)
