Bengaluru: Taking on JDS second-in-command and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's corruption charges against the Congress government, Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao called his opponent as a jilted lover whose dreams of becoming a kingmaker in the last assembly election have been shattered.

"Kumaraswamy had dreamt of becoming kingmaker ahead of the last assembly election, but his dreams were shattered by people's mandate. Therefore, he has become like a jilted lover whose dreams of becoming kingmaker have been shattered. Hence, he is making baseless allegations against our government," he wrote on his X account.

Gundurao asked Kumaraswamy to prove his allegations against the Congress government, instead of firing in the air.

"Kumaraswamy’s sleep and peace has been demolished ever since Congress assumed power. Being anguished, he is occupied with levelling unconfirmed allegations against our government. Okay he is making allegations, but he must prove it. Why just fire shots in the air?" he said.

Gundurao also questioned Kumaraswamy's behaviour as the protagonist of wolf-wolf story for brandishing a pen drive to make his allegations against the Karnataka government.

"HDK brandishes a pen drive on one occasion and on another shows a CD to help make his allegations against our government. If he really has any documentary evidence, let him release it. None of us have restrained Kumaraswamy’s hands. Who would be afraid if HDK repeatedly behaved like the protagonist of the wolf-wolf story?" he questioned.

Kumaraswamy has continued his attack on Congress government after arriving from Europe tour by alleging a Rs 1,000-crore transfer-business against its officials.

He also had divulged his plans to submit documents relating Congress government's alleged corruption including in the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) Project to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. (UNI)
