COVID-19: 30 female nursing students tested positive in Kangra

Dharamshala: With 30 female nursing students of a private Nursing College at Palampur, persons, tested positive on Wednesday for the lethal novel coronavirus, here pushing the Kangra district case load to 8,290.

Chief Medical Officer Kangra Dr Gurdharshan Gupta told UNI that there was no death due to Coronavirus reported from any part of the Kangra district on Wednesday and the death toll remained 205.

Dr Gupta said that 30 female nursing students of Neta Ji Subhash Chander Nursing College Palampur tested positive on Wednesday taking the number of confirmed cases to 8,290 in this biggest and the highly populated district of this hill state.

The number of fresh cases were touching 30 came out in the private college today. He said that those who tested positive have been isolated as per the protocol.

He said that there were seven recoveries on Wednesday taking the number of the recoveries to 7,992. The district currently houses 91 active cases. So far, the district has witnessed 200 and five fatalities. (UNI)
