Crocodile drags a middle aged man into mid of Brahmni river

Kendrapara: A middle aged person went on missing in the crocodile-infested Brahmni river when an Estuarine crocodile dragged him into the mid of the river while he was taking bath yesterday.

Police on Wednesday said, one Subash Baral of Sahupada village under Aul police station limit had gone to the Brahmni river to take a bath when the mishap took place.

A salt water crocodile dragged him into the mid of the river. The locals, who were also taking bath at the spot made frantic search in the river but failed to trace him out.

The fire tender personnel of Aul also rushed to the spot and started search and rescue operation, but body of the person is yet to be fished out from the river water. (UNI)
