Currency ban: Oppn stalls RS, adjourned till Monday

New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha continued to be paralysed over the Opposition's demand for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's apology for his comment made against them outside the House, forcing repeated adjournments today, the last one for the day.

As soon as the House met at 1430 hrs, and Deputy Chairman Prof P J Kurien called for the private members' business, the Opposition members trooped into the Well raising slogans against the government. Amid din, the Deputy Chairman called for introducing private members' bills.(UNI)
