Cyclonic storm Vardah to skip Odisha, heads towards Andhra Pradesh coast

Bhubaneswar: Distant Warning Signal number two was hoisted at Paradeep and Gopalpur Port in the wake of a cyclonic storm Vardah over the southeast Bay of Bengal.Met sources said the cyclonic storm lay centred south east of Gopalpur is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm during next 12 hours.

It is very likely to maintain its peak intensity up to evening of December 11 and will weaken gradually while moving towards Andhra Pradesh coast.The Cyclonic storm is all likely to cross Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam around evening of December 12, Met sources said.(UNI)
