Puducherry: Reeling under a huge debt, a 38-year-old man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife and two children at Ariyankuppam near here on Thursday.
Police said, Thyagarajan, an autorickshaw driver, was residing in Thapalakarar street in Ariyankuppam.
In the morning today, their house remained locked from inside and they failed to open even after the neighbours knocked at the door.
Following this, they informed the Ariyakuppam police.
Police reached the spot and broke open the door to find Pachai Vazhi (34), wife of Thyagarajan their son Akash (3) and daughter Lakshmi Devi (7) dead.
Thyagarajan was found hanging from the ceiling fan in a room in his house.
Police said that on inquiry it came to know that Thyagarajan killed his wife and two children and committed suicide due to huge debt.
