Declare 2017 as 'Less Cash Year': Traders to govt

New Delhi: Announcing to launch a nationwide campaign over adoption of digital transactions among retailers from January, 2017, the leading traders association CAIT today urged the government to declare year 2017 as 'Less Cash Year'.

In a statement the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said, " In order to encourage people to embrace digital payment technology at both levels ie B2C and B2B, the declaration of Less Cash Year will certainly prove to be a major announcement."The CAIT is strongly advocating for adoption of electronic payments since Year 2015 among trading community.
