Delhi govt launches 'Desh ke Mentor' program to help students make career choices

New Delhi: Placing a brick in the foundation of the future of this country, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the 'Desh Ke Mentor' program for children studying in Delhi government schools at the Thyagaraj Stadium on Monday.

Through this program, the children of classes 9th to 12th will get the help of mentors in shaping their career. During this event, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that through this program the children will get an elder brother, friend or sister with whom they can share everything.

He said that not only the people of Delhi but people from all over the country will become mentors of such children. A person living in any part of the country can become a mentor by registering on the Delhi government’s app.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that if a child fulfils their dreams with your hard work, then you are doing the biggest deed of nation building. He said when people from all over the country will come and mentor the children, then our entire country will become one family and all the walls of religion and caste will be broken.

Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia, Vice Chancellors of IGDTUW, IIT-Delhi, DPSRU, DTU, NSUT, DSEU, AUD and IP University, Principal Secretary Education, H. Rajesh Prasad, Director of Education Udit Prakash Rai and Heads of Delhi Government Schools Including other dignitaries were present at the launch.

CM Arvind Kejriwal, Dy CM Manish Sisodia, MLA Atishi launched the Desh Ke Mentor programme by lighting a lamp as students of Delhi Government Schools sang the Saraswati Vandana.

It is noteworthy that the entire launch event was conducted by students of Delhi Government Schools. Be it anchoring, performing or welcoming the guests, the students completely aced the event and were appreciated to great lengths by the dignitaries present.
