New Delhi: Train and flight services in national capital were affected this morning as dense fog engulfed the city. At least 69 trains were delayed, 16 rescheduled and four got cancelled due to fog. The flight services were also affected. As many as nine international and three domestic flights were delayed and all together three flights were cancelled because of poor visibility.
The Delhiites woke up to a colder and foggier morning on the eve of New Year, with the minimum temperature settling at 10.5 degree C, three notch above normal. However, the temperature is likely to decline by two degrees tomorrow morning with dense fog in the city. Yesterday, the national capital recorded 18.5 degrees C as maximum temperature, the seasons second lowest so far. An official of the IMD here said the maximum temperature will settle at 19 degree C.
