New Delhi: People in the national capital today woke up to a dense fog this morning, which is first of the season, reducing visibility in the streets of the city. Low visibility has also been reported in several other areas of northern India, including in Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, and west Uttar Pradesh. Many flights were delayed to and from the city. The traffic movement too slowed down due to low visibility, especially on the Delhi-Noida and Delhi-Gurgaon expressways.

The Met Department has forecast a clear sky with mist early in the next 24 hours with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 28 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature is recorded at 9.7 degree Celsius, zero notches above normal. “It has been forecast of dense fog with the maximum temperature expected to be around 28 degrees Celsius while the minimum is likely to settle at 12 degrees Celsius tomorrow,” a MeT official said. The fog is expected to last another six days. Yesterday, the minimum temperature was measured at 9.7 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius. (UNI)
