Dharamsala: Team India claimed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1 after outplaying Australia by eight wickets in the fourth and final Test at the HPCA stadium here this morning.
Chasing a paltry 105 runs, the hosts easily achieved the target on the fourth day losing two wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara, who went back without scoring, and Murli Vijay (8).
With this win, the hosts have won the four-match series 2-1.While the visitors led by Steve Smith won the Pune Test, the home side came back strongly to register a victory in the second Test at Bengaluru before the Ranchi Test ended without any result. (UNI)
