Divyanga pension hiked to Rs 500 per month in UP

Deoria: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today declared an increase in pension of Divyanga from existing Rs 300 to Rs 500 per month and said the government is committed to rid eastern UP from the menace of encephalitis.
 


During a function here, where mechanical Instruments were distributed among over 1000 Divyangs, Mr Yogi said his government was committed to bring all downtrodden under the government's social welfare schemes. "Divyangs should not be made to run for different certificates. These would be made available under one roof.

The Chief Medical Officer should issue certificates to Divyangs on every Monday," the CM said. He said in view of sufferings Divyangs are facing, government has decided to increase their monthly pension to Rs 500. Earlier, they used to get Rs 300. There are around nine lakh Divyangs in UP. The CM declared that similar camps will be held in other parts of the state, where Divyangs will be given mechanised support free of cost. (UNI)
