Dr. Krupa Sagar Rao Palakurthi of Westwood, MA, passes away at 78

Westwood: Dr. Krupa Sagar Rao Palakurthi, originally from Hyderabad, India, and a resident of Westwood, MA, passed away Sunday at Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA. He was 78. He was loving father of Boston entrepreneur Prashanth Palakurthi.

Dr. Palakurthi is survived by his wife Smt. Vasantha Palakurthi, children Prashanth, Dr. Sangeetha and Dr. Puneetha; daughter-in-law Anuradha, son-in-law Prasad Kalyanapu; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Dr. Palakurthi hailed from Hyderabad and lived Westwood. He was born on April 19, 1938, in Manukota, Warangal, India.

As shared with his family on his deathbed, his greatest joy in life outside of the family was as an ophthalmic surgeon providing eyesight to the very needy. His family remembers him for his immense sense of civic duty, intellectual curiosity and dedication.(UNI)
