New Delhi: Countering Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi's statement that the poll panel has not received any evidence from the complainants on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) manipulation, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today took a dig at the former, saying the poll panel did not provide the machines. "Sir (Nasim Zaidi), you never provided the machines pl (please)," the Aam Aadmi Party chief said within minutes of Dr Zaidi telling a press conference that notwithstanding their complaints, political parties have not produced any material evidence to substantiate their grievances.

Addressing a press conference here, the CEC ruled out any chance of hacking and tampering of EVMs and said that the poll panel will allow political parties to have a try at hacking EVMs at various sessions beginning from June 3. He said, "the machines would be those which were used in the recent Assembly polls in the five States.

Political parties can try to tamper with the machines in two ways, either they can do it by pressing various combination of the keys of the machines or by using some external device like mobile or Bluetooth, etc. "Parties can select four machines from four polling stations in either of the five States where the polls were held. And each of these parties can nominate three authorised persons for trying at these machines," Dr Zaidi said. (UNI)
