Kakinada:The mystery behind the ghastly murder of an unidentified youth whose partially burnt body was found lying in bushes on the outskirts of Nadakuduru village under Karapa police station limits 16 kms from here on March 16 was successfully unfolded by the Kakinada rural police on Monday by arresting two sisters.
The accused understood to have confessed to the crime. Briefing the details of the interesting case to media persons in the evening, sub-divisional police officer V Bhimarao said that extramarital relationship was the root cause for the ghastly murder.

He said the case proved a challenge to the police as the identity of the deceased was not established and moreover it was partially burnt to conceal the identity. Under the instructions from the DIG Mohanarao and SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi the investigation was taken up by P. Ramachandrarao Pithapuram circle inspector who was holding an additional charge.

During the detailed investigation, the identity of the deceased was established as Pepakayala Sathish Kumar(26) resident of Vella village of Ramachandrapuram mandal. He was working as a night watchman in a rice mill and also renting out mike sets. He developed illegal contacts with the accused Thota Arjiveni (25), a mother of two children of the same village.

But of late she refused to continue illegal intimacy with him as she feared of getting an infection as he was suffering from a chronic disease. When the deceased had threatened her of serious consequences and pressurising her to elope with him, unable to bear the mental torture she had 'conspired with her elder sister Ireddi Rajasree (29) to get rid of him'.

On the fateful night on March 16, she asked him to Nadakuduru offering to go along with him leaving her husband and children. Trusting her the deceased blindly went to the place where the two sisters were waiting. Unaware of the danger, the deceased sat along with her chit-chatting.

She suddenly pushed him down allegedly and with the help of her sister, tied his neck with a chunni and 'throttled him to death'. Later to conceal the identity they doused the body in petrol brought along with them in two bottles and set ablaze and dispersed leaving no clue.

However, the investigating team could unearth the whole conspiracy and brought the accused to book. Two cell phones of the deceased were recovered from them’ the SDPO added. Rural inspector Akula Muralikrishna, Pithapuram circle Inspector Ramachandrarao were also present.

Meanwhile, SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi has commended the SDPO Bhimarao and in charge circle inspector Ramachandrarao for unfolding the mystery behind the clueless murder.(UNI)
