Giridih: Fed up with constant toothache a middle-aged woman committed suicide by jumping inside a well in Karihari village under Hirodih Police Station area of this district.
Police quoting neighbours said that the deceased Nirmala Devi (57) was a widow and also did not have any child. Further, she was also suffering from sugar, blood pressure and other ailments.
Police said that for the last one week she was suffering from toothache. On Tuesday afternoon she had tried to jump into the well but was saved by the neighbours. Late into the night she finally jumped into the well and died. The incident came to notice on Wednesday morning when women gathered to wash their utensils at the well.
Later the body was sent for post-mortem to Giridih Sadar Hospital. (UNI)
