Female cop pushed from running train for resisting phone-snatching bid, sustains injuries

Katihar: A female cop Kumari Arti sustained serious injuries when criminals pushed her from train after she resisted their bid to snatch her mobile phone in Katihar district on Wednesday.

Police said here that Kumari Arti, a female constable posted in Nawada, was on way to Katihar during her leave period.

Female cop was travelling in Samastipur-Katihar passenger train when criminals tried to snatch her mobile phone and was thrown out by them from running train while it was in slow motion near outer signal of Katihar, when she resisted their snatching bid, police added.

"Arti sustained injuries in the incident and was admitted to Sadar hospital", police said adding that she was referred to Katihar Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.

Raids were being carried out to nab the criminals, police informed. (UNI)
